First-Year Wilderness Experience with Stout Adventures is an adventure-based program designed specifically for first-year students. It is a great way to meet like-minded folks before your student starts their first semester at UW-Stout.
From Sunday, Aug. 27, to Saturday, Sept. 2, we'll spend time exploring the Menomonie area with campus as our home base, as well as heading off to the Turtle-Flambeau flowage to spend a couple of days camping and canoeing. Activities will include:
- Outdoor Challenge Course
- Indoor Climbing Wall
- Camping
- Canoeing
- Kayaking
- Paddle Boarding
- Hiking
The cost of FWE is $450. There will be two trip leaders guide the group. The costs includes transportation, lodging and meals. All necessary equipment is provided, and all skill levels are welcome. Space is limited.
