Joshua Southwick, Ph.D., CRC is an assistant professor and program director for the M.S. Rehabilitation Counseling program at UW-Stout. He earned both his master’s degree in Rehabilitation Counseling and his doctoral degree in Disability Disciplines with a specialization in rehabilitation counseling from Utah State University. He has more than 15 years of experience in rehabilitation as a practitioner, educator, and researcher. As a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC), he has provided direct services to transition-age students and individuals with visual impairments. He has experience teaching a variety of undergraduate rehabilitation and graduate-level rehabilitation counseling courses. His current research interests include quality assurance in vocational rehabilitation processes and outcomes, and the utilization of the International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health (ICF) in vocational rehabilitation settings.
