  • teaching computer-based training and matching technology tools to instructional problems
  • providing students the skills for managing the complete instructional design process
Student Testimonials

"Working at Google is awesome! I have been so happy with the ID education I received from Stout as I prepared for this job. Going through the entire process in a case study in the Project Management course gave me so much insight into what we are doing in my current position. We do a lot of ILT and soon blended learning courses using all documents covering ADDIE. Thank you so much for helping me prepare for this!"
~ Kathleen Bagmanov, San Francisco, California

"Thank you for prepping me for the interviews. I have been hired by Aurora Health Care System as an Instructional Designer in the area of medical coding."
~ Karen Pizur, Muskego, Wisconsin

"What a great experience! Although I am in my same job, I have been able to take on some additional responsibilities related to instructional design. I know my new project would not have come my way without this certificate program. I am in the midst of developing training guides, webinar sessions, and videos to help educate the field, who are spread all across the nation."
~ Amy DeMage, Lees Summit, Missouri

"I feel like a sweepstakes winner after completing this certificate. I received not only a promotion, a bump in pay, and I've been tasked to change our Computer Education group (2 people) into an instructional design group that creates training sessions for staff, faculty, and graduate students. I would not have been able to achieve this without the four courses in this certificate program."
~ Keith Thompson, Taunton, MA

" I did a lot of research comparing different ID programs across the country, and I am grateful that I found this program."
~ Nicole Michelon, Norfolk, Virginia

"I got a job ... a great job as an instructional designer, and it is all because of you. I have accepted a position with a prestigious federal employer. Wow, I never would have had the confidence to pursue this position without your invisible support."
~ Cally Mervine, Sheboygan, Wisconsin

"Within 60 days of finishing the program, I had three interviews for ID positions. I have accepted and started one of the positions."

~ Julie Kling, Ed.D. Lakeside Marblehead, Ohio

"I got a job!!  Whooohoooo!  It's perfect for me as well - I am hired by Executive Director, Inc., and I'll be the instructional designer for their client, an organization called The Society for Immunotherapy of Cancer (SITC).  I taught biology and chemistry as a teacher for the last 17 years, and this will be absolutely fascinating. I would not have been able to make this transition without the UW-Stout ID Certificate."
~ Julia Cabaniss, Thiensville, Wisconsin
