Committed to Keeping College Affordable

We realize that attending a university is no small decision. That's why we believe in making a UW-Stout degree the best value possible. Most of our undergraduate programs have been streamlined to require only 120 credits to graduate, our textbooks are rented rather than purchased, and we have dozens of scholarship opportunities to help fund your education.

New Partial Tuition Waiver for Illinois Residents

UW-Stout is stepping up to provide timely financial support for new students from Illinois. The university is offering a partial tuition waiver to Illinois residents who enroll beginning with the 2022-23 academic year. The amount is approximately $4,000 a year for a full-time student, based on 30 credits.

The waiver replaces the reduced out-of-state tuition rate previously provided through the Midwest Student Exchange Program. Illinois recently dropped out of the program.
