UW-Sprout LogoThe UW-Sprout Campus Garden is a 1/5 acre market garden for students, faculty, and staff to grow food and cultivate community. At the garden, you can plant, tend to, and harvest a wide variety of sustainably grown vegetables, fruits, and herbs.

Our staff of students and volunteers grow produce for the University Dining operations.

Volunteer Opportunities

Any students, faculty, or staff can volunteer in the garden! Volunteers learn valuable skills in growing sustainable food, as well as meet new people with shared interests in gardening and local food. In exchange for their time, volunteers can receive free produce when it's available.

Volunteers do lots of different tasks like planting, weeding, mulching, watering, and harvesting veggies.
