Shelley Pecha is a professor of interior design and currently serves as the chair of the Design Department and the program director for the interior design program. She is proud of the growth and strength of all the design programs within the department.
Shelley is a first-generation college student who graduated from the UW Stout interior design program. After graduation Shelley started her career as an interior designer in Minneapolis, MN working on retail, hospitality and large-scale workplace projects before heading down to Austin, Texas for graduate school. Shelley received her MFA in interdisciplinary design at The University of Texas at Austin, College of Fine Arts, Art and Design Division. After working a year in Austin at an architecture/interior design firm, she joined the faculty at The University of Wisconsin - Stout.
Shelley has presented at various art and design conferences, collaborated on books and continued client work. She is a maximalist with a passion for concept creation and color and has expertise in construction documentation and construction management.
